Our Materials

We offer a wide range of quality fastener in 3 main materials: 6000 and 7000 series high tensile aluminium, Grade 5 titanium, and A4 316 stainless steel. However, we do also offer different grades of titanium upon request as well as high tensile steel and high tensile stainless steel. We are a French company made up of a European team and we respond quickly and efficiently to many different types of fastener requests. We pride ourselves.

Titanium Grade 5

Grade 5 6AL-4V

Our titanium bolts are made from high quality Grade 5 titanium which offers extreme strength with the added benefit of extreme weight saving. Titanium provides excellent corrosion resistance, and it requires very little maintenance. Our heads are forged for even higher torque values and all threads are rolled for to further increase the tensile strength. All threads are machined to ISO/DIN standards.

On leaving production, all our Grade 5 titanium bolts are polished. This process brings not only a high luster and mirror like finish, but further strengthens the corrosion resistance. We offer 5 finishes the titanium bolts in our catalog: natural, blue, gold, purple and black DLC

All our products are designed in-house and manufactured with our factories having full UKAS ISO9001 (2015) certification, accompanied with material certifications and certificates of conformity. BST and the manufacturing team have over 25 years of experience in the premium fasteners industry.

DLC (also known as PVD) is our ultimate finish. We are proud to offer DLC (diamond like coating) as an optional surface treatment. The advantages of DLC include a beautiful black colour, an extremely hard surface which is highly scratch resistant, and the DLC process also reduces the friction coefficient which aids in a smoother engagement. The life span of a DLC coated bolt can be over 5,000 different assemblies. NOTE: due to the technical nature of this coating, the delivery time for our may be extended (contact us for more information).

Due to its great strength and its weight 42% lighter than steel, titanium takes its place in many fields such as the aeronautical, aerospace, chemical, military, energy, automotive industry but also the medical and of course sports mechanicals like motorcycles, cars and of course mountain bikes or road bikes

Aluminium High Tensile

7000 or 6000 Series

Our aluminium bolts are made from forged, aircraft grade, high strength T6 heat-treated alloy, in aluminium both a 6000 or 7000 series). They are available in 7 colours : Silver, Blue, Black, Gold, Orange, Red and Purple). Aluminium bolts and fasteners are 60% lighter, when compared to traditional steel bolts. We also manufacture aluminium CNC flanged hex head bolts in similar alloys.

Aluminium bolts are ideal for low stress applications. They are very resistant to corrosion, therefore the bolts can be used in many areas that are subject to high corrosion. They are perfect for colour marking applications, and are highly useful for the marine, auto and many other industries that require a huge weight-savings need, or anti-corrosion needs..

Stainless Steel A4 316

Our stainless steel bolts are made from high quality 316L A4 stainless steel which offers very high strength and corrosion resistance. A4 Stainless steel is a strong material which is extremely resistant to corrosion and it requires very little maintenance. Our threads are machined to ISO/DIN standards, and they are rolled for increased tensile strength. On leaving production, all our A4 stainless steel bolts are polished. This process brings not only a high luster and mirror like finish, but further strengthens the corrosion resistance. We offer three finishes for stainless steel in our catalog: Natural, Black DLC and GOLD DLC.

Each of these three materials has these advantages and disadvantages; titanium is a very strong and light material, but the most expensive of the three. Titanium is available in and additional 3 colours, plus the option of the black, DLC coating. Aluminium is an extremely light material available in 7 colors, it can be used only in places with low stress, because it has little resistance to shearing. And finally, A4 stainless steel, which is very resistant to corrosion, but weighs the same as normal steel and is available in an additional 2 colours.
